Sustainability and corporate environmental performance has growing attention in the boardroom as well as the shop floor. In its early forms, with the exception of a few early adopters (believers), it was the domain of regulations. As customer pressure for sustainable practices has increased, companies have adjusted their activities to match the need, sometimes with constructive actions and sometimes with clever marketing. The question that remains is does it pay to be green? Richard will explore sustainable operations and specifically the conditions that make sustainability a competitive advantage.
